Doing laundry in Cow Hollow
Cow Hollow sits between the Marina flats and the Pacific Heights ridge — roughly Van Ness to the Presidio, Lombard up to Green Street — with Union Street's boutiques, cafés and the Octagon House running through the middle. Most of the housing is Victorian and Edwardian flats and small apartment buildings, many split into units long before anyone planned for a washer in every kitchen. If your building has a laundry room at all, it's usually a shared machine in the garage.
The hills are the other problem. Fillmore, Webster and Laguna climb steeply from Union toward Broadway, and hauling a week of laundry to a laundromat and back is a real workout. With Fold the bag stays on your step or in your entry, and it comes back to the same spot.
- Garage or side-gate entry? Add it to your building instructions once — they save with your address.
- Shares ZIP 94123 with the Marina, so the same morning and evening windows apply on both sides of Lombard.
- Weekend brunch on Union? Evening windows run Monday to Saturday.
